After more than a decade in its well-known blue finish, Renata’s Essential Watch Battery Tester is now available in a black colour, while continuing to deliver the same trusted Swiss-made performance relied upon in professional workshops.

This compact tester accurately checks 1.55V silver oxide and 3V lithium button/coin cells, and also performs inductive testing of analogue quartz watch movements. The inductive circuit allows movements to be checked without opening the watch case, helping quickly identify whether a fault lies with the battery or within the movement itself.

By analysing electrical impulses, the tester can assist in diagnosing issues related to the battery, electronics, coil, or mechanical function. Simple to use and highly efficient, it remains a time-saving, essential tool for professional watch servicing and fault finding.

How to use:

• Battery test: Place the battery on the contact points to check voltage
